TOY STORY 3
As usual, I have been a lazy blogger so I am omitting most of Spring Break. However, I had to include THIS, our trip to Kansas City to see Disney on Ice: Toy Story 3! We've been talking about it for weeks so the kids were ready- we woke up on Friday and got ready and headed to KC! After checking into our hotel and everything we ran over to get some dinner and let the kids walk around for awhile (love, love, love his little face!) We got to the show early so the kids could take a look around. And, as is custom for events like these, there were all sorts of things to lure the kiddos in and make them beg their parents for money. We let the kids each choose one item and that was it, food or toy. Everything was just ridiculous. The lemonade in a plain water bottle that said 'Disney on Ice' was $12!!!!! Luckily we had just eaten so we were ready for the show and could avoid spending 60 bucks on snacks! Sissy picked a Jessie cup (that happened to come with a snow cone inside) Big Boy's choice was pretty random, even for him. They had everything under the sun. They had Buzz Lightyear swords and little light making things but T was set on the binoculars. Set on them. Didn't want anything else and loves these things to death! It's coming... Now, what follows is a lot of pics for this, I know. But it is coming to Wichita and I know a lot of people who might be interested in what the show entails... :) Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy came out first. The kids got so ridiculously excited about this I was sure they were going to wet their pants when the other characters came out! It started with the green army men, or as Big Boy calls them, "shoulders". They parachuted in, it was pretty cool. There is Zurg on the ice and that is Buzz coming in to defeat him and save the day. There were lots of opportunities for the kids to stand up and dance, it was great. Sissy was OVER THE MOON when Barbie came out. And then almost fell out of her chair when 15 more Barbies came out! It was pretty cool. They did lots of skating tricks to songs like 'Girls just wanna have fun'. All the characters were there, I don't know how, but they were. It was impressive. The skating was great, too, and the tricks were fun. Ken and Barbie had a huge scene together, when Ken is trying on all his different outfits in the movie. It was Sissy's absolute favorite. The finale: After the show we decided to stay out late and headed over to Cheesecake Factory! The kids had a great time. They loved staying in the hotel and talk about their fun trip all the time. Memorable, for sure!
