PARTY!

Last Sunday Sissy had her birthday party! Sis and 16 of her closest friends had a great time at a local gymnastics club. It is a fun party to have because they do all the setting up and taking down as well as entertaining the kids! Pat and I were on camera duty the whole time but the rest of the parents got to sit back and relax while the kids were led around by the instructors.

Her new leotard for the party- and the cake picture!

Big Boy had a blast, too. And was much more brave than his sister! He hung on the ring over the foam blocks all by himself and did the zip line. He thought it was the best party ever!

Cake time!!

Mommy accidentally bought sparkler candles- that kept relighting every time she blew them out! It probably took 10 minutes to get them all out for good.

Checking out some presents:

How cute?!? Some of the kids gathering to look at a new princess book.

Sis had a great time. All in all I would have to say that birthday number 4 was a total success! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes from everyone!

Happy birthday Sis

Friday was Sissy's birthday. Before school I let her open a special present that I intended to save for Valentine's Day, but I wanted to let her have it to wear on her special day. She LOVED it.

Sis had her class Valentine's party that day so Big Boy and I headed out for some birthday errands and then to school. (Big Boy is quite at home at preschool and participates actively in all they do- especially eating)

Reading while waiting for all of the kids to be done. Had to get a picture of him in his new Valentine's shirt!

The teacher and an older sibling led the kids in a song and dance. It was super cute and each kid took turns going into the middle and doing their own dance- even my 2 year old.

Then we made necklaces...

Bless Sissy's teacher for always thinking of Big Boy and including him in what they do!

That night it was party time! Gma and my brother Micah came over early so Uncle Caca could spend some time with the kids.

Sissy hit the jackpot this year as usual. New princess dresses and ballet clothes, new spring pjs, tons of new clothes, a little robot puppy, her very own magazine subscription, Polly Pockets, puzzles, books, a Leapster and games, a Barbie computer, Alice in Wonderland movie, and much more... She is very blessed to have so many people to love her and think of her!

Loved the cake that DQ made for the occasion-

Quick baths and a Bible story from Sissy's new devotional before bed.

Next day- trip to PetSmart for our new fish- BUCK. Sissy named him and no, I don't know why she chose that name.

Valentine's Day- I made bubble loaf and we all opened some presents and stuffed ourselves before church.

And on Monday we attended our last Valentine's Day event. The kids came home to check out all of the loot from a weekend of celebrating.

4 years ago today...

I was just arriving at the hospital during one of the biggest snowstorms in New York history. My doctor was stuck but it was okay- I was only 2 cm dilated. While waiting for my doctor (for 2 hours) we strolled the halls and Pat called our families to let them know they were sending us back home. Stopped in the room for 1 more checkup and- 7 cm! An hour in the jacuzzi- 9 cm! A challenge from my doctor that she had 5 other patients who would deliver before me although I was dead set on having my baby on the 12th and not the 13th- and Sissy was out at 11:55 p.m.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful four year old. It seems like yesterday when I had you. It was just me, you, and Daddy up in New York and we had a lot of quality time together. I love that you love to talk about New York and all we did there and I love that you love "the city" like we do. You were our only plans, our best friend, and our little doll. And since then we have watched you turn into everything we could want you to be. Happy Birthday to my beautiful four year old.

I gained over 50 pounds. Ate nothing but mac n cheese and chicken nuggets for 2 months.

Our little Valentine's baby. We brought you home on Valentine's Day, the ladies at the hospital knitted you a hat with a heart on it.
