All they want for Christmas

This week Daddy has been studying like crazy for his national certification test for nuclear medicine held this morning. After completing the classes and all the other requirements, the last thing to do was the test- and it was not going to be an easy one. I spent all week trying to quiz him using flashcards and I could not pronounce ANYTHING on them. Math, biology, medicine- I do not have the capacity to understand that kind of stuff. But Pat did wonderful and passed his test which means good things for us. Yay Daddy!!

For a little break in the studying, we told the kids we'd take them to Heartspring to visit Santa so they each made their lists. Sissy wrote hers by herself this year with me just having to tell her how to spell words so we are very proud of her!

Big Boy recited his to me and stamp on it. He's coming along with writing his name only half the time he adds so much else it is hard to find his name amongst it.

This year was the first where it was warm enough that we could get out of the car and walk around to some of the light displays.

Santa was wonderful and Sissy was predictably shy with him. He kept trying to prompt her but she was barely muttering sounds so Pat handed her the list to help her out and she came out of her shell a little.

Big Boy had this big, crazy grin on his face the whole time. He made Sissy go first but once he was up there he had lots of things to say to Santa and he thought the whole thing was awesome.

Afterwards we enjoyed some refreshments and went to see the rest of the lights.

And today Sissy had 'Candy Cane Day' at school, they were supposed to wear red and white. Sissy was very into it and we made sure her outfit fit the 'red and white' bill. I asked her to let me take a quick picture in front of me and she struck this pose. I don't know if it is ballet class or just having millions of pics taken of her but she strikes a pose with no direction and rolls with it. Funny girl!
