Pumpkin Patch x 2

Over the weekend we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. We waited and waited for good weather and- besides some wind- had a pretty nice day!

The favorites- going on the big slide and jumping on the giant inflated pillow!

I was slightly hesitant to let my wild and crazy barely two year old ride the train by himself, especially since I couldn't see him most of the time, but he loved it and did fine!

And...after arriving home that evening after 8:00 we turned around and went to that very same patch with Sissy's class the next morning.

It was so great. There was hardly anyone there which meant we had the place to ourselves! The kids had a great time. A couple kids were sick so we had a small group and the kids got to do whatever they wanted.

Farmer Steve gave us a great lesson about pumpkins:

We even got to go to a great spot in the patch where the pumpkins were all beautiful!

I think each child went down the slide at least 20 times, probably more. I went with Big Boy the first couple times and then figured he could make it on his own. And boy did he! He carried that sled up the hill like a pro and sent himself down over and over.

My girl and my boy

Sis has had a couple of big weeks. We are constantly one activity to the next so I have been slacking heavily in the 'blogging' and 'reading others blogs' department. Here's a couple pics:

School picture day today! Sis had a new dress with leggings to wear and her new boots I am so jealous of- mid-calf dark brown w/ little bom boms on the side. I love fall colors! They took their pics first so all the mommies got to go primp them and then their proofs were ready at pick up. She did great! Here's the ones we took at home, although our background (the back door) isn't nearly as nice...

Sissy's school had their "Great Race" this week. A little tip to anyone trying to do a fundraiser- ask for cash!! Her preschool opted to have the kids find people to "sponsor" them in the race instead of selling stuff. So nice! The preschool walked away with a ton more money and there was no ordering and delivering to mess with!

After the race Sis and I had time to spare before picking up Big Boy from KDO. They got pizza at school so we went to get ice cream (Sis- cotton candy w/ M&Ms, me- pumpkin w/ Heath) and then we went to Baby Gap to buy hats and gloves.

And here is my boy. I realize that this picture is somewhat obscene and probably has no place on the Internet, but come on. What is it about boys that make them watch TV with their hands down their pants? What gene is it that says "stare at TV, put hand down pants, ignore any female trying to talk to you/take your picture"?

And last but not least- sleeping baby pictures. I just love them.

It's been kind of a crazy past couple of weeks, only to get busier as Halloween gets closer!

(I did get a wonderful little getaway last weekend which I was very thankful for. A special shout out to two very special ladies who have filled me up with calories and thoughtful words this week! ;)

Greater Andover Days Performance

Oh Sissy, my little ballerina, I cannot resist you!

She had her first actual performance today with her dance class at Greater Andover Days. There was a pretty big crowd to watch and Sis wasn't nervous at all. She did a really good job despite the fact they have only had about a month of ballet, about 5 times, to learn the dance. I was a little worried that she wouldn't move around much. She is more of an observer at first, likes to check everything out. But she got right into it and really showed off. She thought it was the best.

We spent the next couple hours going on rides and playing at the park with Gma, Aunt Ashlee, and Uncle B. Poor Daddy had to leave to go to work :(

I thought this was too funny this morning not to put in. So they each went into our closets and took out a pair of our shoes. They went around the house playing Pat and Alyssa. Sis would say "Hon, come here I need you to do something." "Pat, let's go watch TV together". Big Boy would respond "okay" (stomp, stomp, stomp, trying to walk in the boots) or "okay Sissy" (which L would reply- "my name is Mama not Sissy!").
